Gingerwall

Sprawled over a small hill is the town of Gingerwall. It is the only residential area on the island, and where the Ice Grengan live when not working in other places around Winters Light. Its name comes from the light-brown colour of the stone used to build the wall that surrounds the town, a wall that appears more ornamental than defensive. It strongly resembles gingerbread, although trying to eat it is not recommended, as it is definitely stone. Aside from being where the Ice Grengan live, there is also some industry going on here. A large hall is reserved for those wishing to wrap gifts for friends and family, the tricky task of producing such gifts being more challenging than it might seem at first. Here can also be found the great wine vats where, with the right ingredients and a little heating, the seasonal mulled wine can be produced, although it is requested that visitors drink responsibly.
