Camp Berastine

Sitting in ruins it is unclear what has happened to this camp, only that something rendered it in a considerable state of disrepair. The camp appears to have once been a fairly large village made up of several buildings, none of which are still standing or even even close to what they had been before. There are people here trying to rebuild the remains however its clear they lack the resources to complete even simple shelters. Their task is made somewhat harder by the requirement of needing thornwood lumber, the versatile wood is an effective building material here and yet these people are unable to get it for themselves. For a start, whilst the dark thornguard seem to be letting you past, they are not letting these poor people through, however even if they could get out of the camp how would they transport the lumber or even get the thornwood logs?
